Buzi, 12 February 2022 – The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, said during the opening ceremony of the building of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) of Buzi, in the province of Sofala, that it is necessary to provide better services to the public, and incompetence cannot be an option.

The Mozambican statesman demanded commitment from the leaders of that institution of management of workers’ pension funds, that there can be no mismanagement of people’s money, because those who have this responsibility must have a strong commitment to the country, because the laws of management of public finances exist and must be complied with.

President Nyusi warned the members of the INSS Board of Directors to avoid unnecessary investments with funds channeled by taxpayers of the National Social Security System, because according to the Head of State, there should be a careful, transparent and rigorous management of funds. “Avoid imaginary or imitation investments, so there should be no room for corruption. Make him aware that there will be a return.”

President Nyusi also explained that by channeling his money to the INSS the worker must have the maximum security that not only in cases of retirement will he have his money, but also in cases of accident, disability, health care, he will have the money available to meet the needs.
